About CITAA

WHO WE ARE

We are a committed and enthusiastic group of Chinese translators and interpreters covering most of Australia.

Whether you are a NAATI accredited professional, a student, or someone interested in language, there is bound to be something of interest on our website or in our professional development, or in our casual get-togethers.

CITAA is not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers with an executive committee.

WHAT WE DO

As Chinese interpreters and translators, we share ideas, join together for training, even go out for some fun. More importantly, we raise the awareness of translating and interpreting, and the important role that Chinese translators and interpreters are playing in society and business.

We attract and share work opportunities, improve professional standards, and help members to develop their skills in interpreting and translating. In addition, we address common worries and concerns amongst practitioners such as rates, long hours, ethics, or difficult assignments. CITAA runs business-focussed professional development sessions that deal with practical subjects.

We welcome ideas and contributions from members on future training needs.
